Embark on a captivating journey into the world of music theatre with Samantha, a seasoned performer and dedicated teacher. Samantha’s love for theatre began at the age of 5 at the Australian School of Performing Arts, setting the stage for an extraordinary career.
For an impressive 12 years, Samantha performed and toured with the renowned AGC, eventually transitioning into an employee role. Her musical prowess further blossomed during her 5-year tenure with the Queensland Performing Arts Centre Choir.
In the past 2 years, Samantha has been imparting her wealth of knowledge through dynamic tuition at Stacey-Lee’s Centre Stage. Her expertise spans vocal training in musical theatre and contemporary styles, instrumental mastery in piano, guitar, and ukulele, and group classes encompassing drama and musical theatre. Notably, she assumed the pivotal role of Music Director for the studio’s stage production of ‘Aladdin,’ showcasing her multifaceted talents.
Samantha’s stage presence extends beyond teaching, with standout performances as Sophie in ‘Mamma Mia’ (Taree Arts Council) and as an ensemble member in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ (Lynch and Paterson). Her credentials are not confined to the spotlight; Samantha emerges as an exceptional teacher and emerging actor, boasting an intimate understanding of voice, as well as a remarkable mastery of stagecraft and movement.
She has successfully led her students towards the development of:
- Develop a good working knowledge of musical theatre repertoire.
- Have the confidence to successfully audition for a place in a tertiary course or a role in a stage production.
- Gain experience as a performer in our studio workshops and showcase events.
- Use storytelling in a performance by singing with expressive acting and emotion.
- Accompany themselves while singing on the piano, guitar, or ukulele.
