Gordon Harris

Principal Voice Teacher and Founder
MMusSt (QCGU), BA (UQ), GradDipMusSt (Opera Perf) QCGU), CertT (KGTC), AMusA (AMEB), MACE.

Gordon Harris is a Brisbane-based musician, singer, and voice teacher. He is also the principal of his own music teaching business, GH Singing Studio. With an accomplished career as a performer, Gordon spends most of his time these days sharing his knowledge and expertise with other aspiring singers and musicians.

Gordon began his musical training in a brass band, playing trombone and euphonium. He considers himself fortunate indeed, since brass bands are an ideal training ground for those who aspire to a career in music. During his teen years, Gordon also began vocal lessons to prepare for a successful career as a classical singer.

Gordon continued his music and voice studies at tertiary level, gaining bachelors and masters’ degrees in music, singing and vocal pedagogy. As an adult he has spent many years teaching music to students of all ages, as well as performing in, and conducting, vocal and instrumental ensembles. He performed for many years as a musical theatre performer and an opera singer. He was one of the early members of The Ten Tenors.

As a teacher, Gordon firmly believes that everyone can sing and everyone can play a musical instrument, and that it is never too late to learn. He tells his students … and believes … that if they have a passion for music and they act upon it, they can certainly achieve their dreams.

So … if you have a desire to sing, give Gordon a call. In a mere half hour, he will prove to you that you, too, can be a singer. And the first lesson is always FREE.
